Duration: 4-5 hours

This route passes through almost all parts of the Durmitor National Park, a couple of peaks, slopes, a canyon, authentic Durmitor villages, forests, lakes, viewpoints on Lake Piva, with a length of 100 km and an altitude difference of 2700 m, which makes this tour one of the most difficult in Montenegro. However, the price is worth it – nature itself, the view, the air, cleanliness, inaccessibility, freedom!

The beginning of the road leads through the village of Pitomine.

Continuation of the journey through the attractive area of ​​Veliko Štuoc, where the altitude is above 2050 meters. Stopping for sightseeing and photographing the area of ​​the Tara river canyon, the deepest in Europe.

This is followed by the village of Crna Gora, which is located on the slopes of the canyon of the river Sušice. The canyon is passable only in the summer months, and at the end of spring when the river forms a periodic lake, which is one of the most beautiful in Durmitor. Continuation with more breaks for sightseeing and photography.

After the village of Nedajno, the route continues to Trs, where you can have lunch in a national restaurant. Namely, you can enjoy Durmitor specialties made from organic and natural ingredients (lamb, kačamak, cicvara, etc.). If you don’t want to have lunch in a restaurant, we can have a picnic in nature. This part of the road passes through the forest, as well as through beautiful pastures, and offers an impeccable view to the west, to the Piva Mountains dominated by Maglić (2386 m above sea level).

The part that follows Trsa is characterized by pastures, numerous herds of sheep and cows, scattered deep valleys and rustic country roads. Look at the last quarter of the way. The south side of Durmitor, with the Todorov and Dobri do valleys, in a narrow winding path and a region that has almost no trees. And in the distance dominates the recognizable peak of Durmitor – the Sedlo beam and the large “Z” curves below it (1900m above sea level).

We continue along the steep path along the unusual peak of Stožina, then through the Pošćenski part, along the Savin Kuk ski resort and numerous mountain huts that have almost “sprung up” around it in recent years, which is how our adventure ends.
