Horse Riding — Experience Durmitor the Authentic Way
We organize horse riding for beginners as well as for experienced riders. It is available at the Etno katun estate, which is located only 7 km from the Zlatni Bor hotel, in the very heart of Durmitor. Katun has ten big horses, always ready to welcome lovers of equestrian sports. This activity requires calmness, situational awareness and good concentration.
After you have refreshed yourself in the inn on the property (capacity for about 20 guests), you will have the opportunity to take turns (due to the number of horses), with the help of experienced teachers, learn everything you have always wanted – how to prepare, saddle, mount and groom a horse. Once this is mastered, the guide will take you on a horseback ride through nature. For those who are more confident, real off-road riding in a caravan can be arranged.
We offer two different tours:
- One-hour tour - €20 per person: tour of nearby pastures, valleys with a view of the Durmitor peaks.
- Three-hour tour – €50 per person: riding across pastures to Lake Pošćen, Lake Vražje and Lake Riblje – located at the foot of Durmitor.
